Terms of service

Street Food Seeker is a place for mobile food vendors to publish where they will be and when, and for customers to find them. Vendors publish their own schedules. Street Food Seeker lists schedules that vendors publish themselves. Food safety, licensing, permits, pricing, hours actually kept, and everything else about the food is the vendor's responsibility, not ours.

Schedules change and vendors sometimes cannot make it. Check with the vendor if you are travelling a long way.

Vendor subscriptions are $19.99 a year, billed yearly, and can be cancelled at any time from the vendor dashboard. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the listing stays live for the rest of the period already paid for.

Privacy

Browsing needs no account. Searching, the map, vendor pages and stop pages all work without signing in, and we do not put an identifier on your device for looking around.

Following a vendor or saving a stop needs one, through a Nolan Media Account, so that your list follows you to a new phone instead of dying with a browser cookie. We store the email address on that account, what you follow, what you have saved, and the alert areas you set.

If you turn on nearby alerts, we store the area you chose — a point and a radius — so we can work out whether a vendor's stop falls inside it. If you allow notifications, we store the subscription your browser gives us so we can send them. Turning notifications off in your browser stops both, and signing out removes that browser's subscription.

Notification content is encrypted end-to-end to your browser, so the push service that relays it cannot read which vendor you follow or where you are.

We do not sell anyone's data.

What following a vendor does — and does not — sign you up for

This is the part worth reading, because it is the opposite of how a lot of "follow this business" buttons work.

If you want more from a vendor than their schedule — offers, a newsletter, their social accounts — follow them there. That is between you and them, and nothing to do with this site.

For vendors

Everything you publish here — your name, logo, photos, food tags, and every scheduled stop — is public, and that is the point. Do not put anything on a stop that you would not want a stranger to read.

Deleting your account cancels billing immediately and removes you from the map straight away. Your data is held for 90 days in case you change your mind, then erased. More about vendor accounts.
